Description
Ras El Hanout, also sometimes called Ras Al-Hanout, is a typical spice blend from the North of Africa, Morocco and Tunisia and can actually be fairly translated as “The best of the store. Since “the best of the store” can change a bit from day to day, there is actually no real set composition of ingredients.
Use this spice blend to season chicken, lamb or fish and flavor couscous. It also adds a delicious North African touch to potatoes, ratatouille and various stews.
Ingredients: cubeb pepper*, anise*, cumin, cinnamon, curcuma, allspice, cayenne, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, white pepper, galanga, rosebuds.
