Hop bells or the bells of Humulus Lupulus and many of us immediately think of a nice refreshing beer. But hops have other interesting properties. Hop is used in phytotherapy primarily for better sleep and for mental pressure and exertion.
Where we can, we get our herbs from local growers ( brewery De Plukker from Poperinge).

Preparing hop tea organic
Making a tea (or infusion) is an ideal way to benefit from the beneficial effects of organic hops.
So you can easily prepare a cup of healthy hop tea organic:
- 1 tablespoon of hop cones per cup.
- Pour over with hot water.
- Allow to infuse for 5 minutes.
- Removing the hops. Hops have a rather bitter taste.
- For nervous indigestion: 1 cup before meals.
- For better sleep: 1 cup just before bedtime.
Combinations with hop cones
Hopbells go well with Valerian and Passion Flower for insomnia.

Do not use Hop bells with clinical depression, which can be intensified by Hop. Furthermore, hops slightly reduces male libido. It very occasionally occurs that male hop pickers develop breast formation (gynecomastia) under the influence of the phytoestrogens present. Some people get a contact allergy when they come into contact with the plant.
