Maca is a tuberous plant that grows in the Andes Mountains (Peru). It is a very strong crop that can survive at high altitudes and under extreme conditions. The nutrients of interest to humans are mainly in the roots of the plant. These have long been eaten by locals.

Recommended daily dose:
