Description
Sencha tea is one of the most popular types of green tea and is known for its refreshing, grassy flavor and fine subtlety. The name “Sencha” means steamed tea, where “Sen” refers to steam and “Cha” to tea. After picking, the tea leaves are processed in a unique way. They are folded lengthwise while drying on hot trays, then heated in wood-fired pans to produce the characteristic shape of Sencha. When infused, the leaves unfold, creating a beautiful bright yellow infusion.
