Description

Chun Mee tea is a green tea with a rich tradition in China. Chun Mee tea is known for its spicy aroma and subtle sweetness, making it a favorite among tea lovers. This tea is grown in southeastern China, near the famous Yangtze River.

Green tea Chun Mee does come by this unique name quite symbolically…. Chunmee means “precious eyebrow” in Mandarin and refers to the shape of the tea leaf, like a carefully shaped woman’s eyebrow. Once dried and rolled, these leaves resemble the perfectly painted eyebrows of the well-known Chinese porcelain dolls.

Preparation

Follow these steps to fully enjoy the green Chun Mee tea:

  1. Quantity: Use 4 to 5 teaspoons per liter of water.
  2. Water temperature: Heat the water to a temperature of 75-80°C.
  3. Pull time:
    • 1 minute: For a light, mild infusion.
    • 3 minutes: For a richer, more pronounced flavor.
  4. Serving: Strain the tea and enjoy the delicate balance of spiciness and sweetness.

Tip: If the tea is too strong for your taste, you can discard the first infusion. The second infusion will be milder and offer a gentler experience of this traditional Chinese tea.
