Description
Physalis organic coconut oil is a transparent oil with a pleasant, mild coconut aroma pressed from the white flesh (copra) of the fruit of the coconut palm. It is solid at room temperature and melts at body temperature (liquid >25°C).
Coconut oil is ideal as a face and body oil thanks to its soothing and moisturizing properties. Coconut oil contains a lot of lauric acid with cleansing properties. Thanks to its high melting point, coconut oil is ideal for cooling and caring for irritated, red skin (e.g., sunburn). It also has nourishing and caring properties for both skin and hair.
Use:
As a massage oil, body oil, hair oil or face oil. May or may not be mixed with Physalis essential oils. Warm in palm before application or melt au bain-marie.
This oil is certainly also suitable for food purposes. By the way, coconut oil is ideal for heating (baking, frying, woks and deep frying). This is in contrast to all oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (soybean oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, etc.) and oils rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (olive oil, sesame oil). Thus, coconut oil does not lead to harmful tran fats when heated.
- Fatty acid composition:
Unsaturated fatty acids: 5% oleic acid
Saturated fatty acids: 4%-12% caprylic acid, 5%-8% capric acid, 45%-53% lauric acid, 16%-21% myristic acid.
