Vegetable Oils

Physalis organic vegetable oils are obtained by first cold pressing of seeds and nuts. For centuries, vegetable oils have been used to promote health and care for skin and hair. Essential fatty acids (Omega 3, 5, 6, 7, 9) keep skin supple and young. They moisturize and nourish the skin and are particularly suitable for dry, sensitive and (including sun-damaged) skin.

Vegetable oils and essential oils

Vegetable oils are ideally suited to serve as carriers for essential oils. Essential oils (essential or aromatic oils) are the fragrant, volatile components of medicinal plants, herbs, flowers, fruits, seeds,…They are natural, highly potent substances that have numerous cosmetic and health applications.

Depending on the purpose and the essential oils used, different dilutions are recommended:
Body massage: 2.5 to 5% essential oil or 5 to 10 drops per 10 ml of vegetable oil
Facial oil: 1% essential oil or 2 drops per 10 ml of vegetable oil
Aromatic bath: 3 to 5% essential oil or 6 to 10 drops per 10 ml of vegetable oil
Topical use: for certain applications, much higher concentrations are used (> 20%), e.g. on muscles and joints, anti-parasitic…
