Description
Witch hazel is a plant with quite strong medicinal properties that can be used in a variety of ways. There are many species of witch hazel, but Hamamelis virginiana – a species of shrub native to North America – is the most commonly used given its high content of active ingredients.
Did you know that the name “magic” hazel was so named among Native Americans because the branches were used as divining rods? It was believed they could help find water sources or hidden metals.
