Description
Valerian, Valeriana officinalis or valerian root has a somewhat distinct taste and smell (some people compare it to socks) but when it comes to its calming effects, this is a top-notch plant. As for the taste and smell… it gets used very quickly I can say as an expert by experience.

Attention for a moment
Always use after meals, then more soothing. Never use the herb for more than 3 weeks due to its slightly addictive effects! Valerian can potentiate the effects of other sedative drugs, especially in the elderly, so be careful when combining Valerian and benzodiazepines.
