Description
Chili peppers are the fruits of plants in the genus Capsicum, which is part of the nightshade family. They are known for their spicy flavor that comes from the chemical capsaicin.
This Bird’s Eye Chili pepper is small, but quite spicy. For those in the know: It measures about 50,000 – 100,000 Scoville units, which is less spicy than the known hotter Habanero but still much spicier than a regular Jalapeño. So use these in moderation! Would you like to keep the flavor but a little less spicy ? Then remove the seeds from the peppers before adding them to your dish.
