Sage or Salvia officinalis is a true “world herb” because it is used in just about every kitchen. Sage has a strong aroma and a rather quickly overpowering taste. Therefore, it is usually used in small quantities. This particular herb is not only used as a flavoring but also has a whole number of properties for a healthier and more enjoyable life.

For excessive sweating
Sage leaves as a sweat inhibitor and have a soothing effect on the body’s heat-regulating center, reducing the amount of sweat production people need to cool down. As a result, this herb can be used for excessive perspiration, clammy hands, sweaty feet, excessive (nocturnal) sweating as a menopause complaint or due to an overactive thyroid gland, nervous sweating, excessive sweating due to psychosomatic cause, febrile states.

Mouth and Throat:
Excellent as a gargle for problems in mouth and throat

Stomach Strengthening
Promotes digestion

Cramp-relieving in menstrual problems.
Menstruation-promoting herb
For irregular menstrual cycles

Natural bioidentical hormone

Phytoestrogens regulate a woman’s hormonal balance. Sage can neutralize an excess of phytoestrogens and replenish a deficiency of these hormones. Because of this, sage can be used for menopause complaints such as heat flare-ups, excessive sweating and vaginal dryness, lack of libido in women, infertility in women, recovery after abortion or miscarriage.

Good combinations:

With Hyssop, Horsetail, Yarrow, Chamomile and Lavender in a sweat-inhibiting tea.

You will also find Sage in our Herbal Tea Passer Elle Transition

Not in pregnancy and lactation.
Not for epilepsy patients.
Not with or history of breast, cervical or ovarian cancer.

Now also in our offering:

With sage leaves, fresh or dried, season especially meat or fish dishes and makes fatty foods easily digestible. Be careful not to overdo it, as the camphor-like flavor quickly overpowers the other ingredients. Add sage only at the end of cooking time, otherwise the aroma will be lost. Also try sage in pumpkin soup, cheese sauce, with beans or peas. Sage is also very tasty with eel; by the way, another name for sage is eelweed.

You will also find Sage in our Lamb Herbs and Fish Herbs
