Description

Lavandin essential oil is very similar in aroma to the aroma of real Lavender. Lavandin, however, is a cross between Lavandula angustifolia and latifolia. The aroma is slightly less floral and more herbaceous than true Lavender.

Health benefits Lavandin essential oil

  • Because of its higher camphor and oxides content, Lavandin is ideally suited for respiratory support.
  • These ingredients are also useful in supporting muscles and circulation.
  • Lavandin essential oil is an ideal addition to a massage oil after exercise, where it mixes well with Marjoram.
  • Lavandin purifies the skin, supports circulation and calms.

Lavandin is easier to grow than true Lavender and also has a higher yield in essential oil. Therefore, Lavandin is less expensive. However, when soap or laundry detergent manufacturers claim that lavender is one of the ingredients, it is usually Lavandin.
